Se han revelado los nominados a los premios Gamescom 2021. Las categorías consisten en los mejores juegos de varias plataformas y géneros, así como en los mejores anuncios y tráilers. Además, los premios también premiarán a algunos de los principales streamers, instituciones y empresas de la industria a través del premio Heart of Gaming. La ceremonia formará parte de la noche inaugural de la Gamescom, el miércoles 25 de agosto.
Aunque Sony no formará parte de la Gamecom 2021, tenemos confirmaciones de Xbox, Actisivion, EA, Bethesda, Konami, Mediatonic y otros desarrolladores. En cuanto a los juegos, podemos esperar ver el juego de combate de artes marciales Sifu, una muestra de Dying Light 2 con la mecánica de parkour, un estreno mundial de Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, un vistazo a Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, y lo que parece ser un reinicio de Saints Row.

Entre los nominados figura Elden Ring, de From Software, que probablemente será uno de los juegos más esperados del evento. El hecho de que aparezca en la lista significa que quizá podamos ver algo de su jugabilidad.
